Matthew Eddy is the CEO of Everingham Legal, a consultancy that specialises in legal technology strategy, artificial intelligence, and modern firm design.
As a practicing lawyer, Matthew’s career spans government, private practice, enterprise transformation, and global legal technology. He began at the NSW Attorney General’s Department across criminal and civil jurisdictions, before practising in Sydney and Melbourne at one of Australia’s largest professional services law firms. He later joined Gartner, where he advised C-level executives at ASX 100 organisations on large-scale digital transformation, operating model redesign, and technology investment strategy. Most recently, he led the U.S. go-to-market strategy for a high-growth Australian legal technology company, working directly with legal teams navigating AI adoption and competitive market pressure.
Today, Matthew works with law firm owners who want to build firms that are more profitable, more efficient, and structurally prepared for an AI-enabled future. His work focuses on technology investment decisions, AI risk and governance frameworks, commercial strategy, and operating models that deliver sustainable competitive advantage.
