Rohan Wood’s entrepreneurial journey is a tale of resilience and innovation. Leaving home at just 15, he embarked on a path that would see him become a successful entrepreneur, engaging in both public and private enterprises. Despite early challenges and setbacks, Rohan’s tenacity and willingness to learn from his experiences shaped his future successes.

Challenges and Realizations

Rohan’s initial endeavors were marked by extreme dedication and hard work, often working 100 hours a week, with minimal sleep and high stress. Despite his efforts, he encountered a “glass ceiling” in his businesses, struggling to expand and sell his enterprises. These challenges led to profound introspection and a quest for deeper business understanding.

Strategic Shifts and Successes

Rohan’s turning point came when he realized the importance of a strategic approach to business. He learned the hard way the significance of having a workable EXIT strategy and being prepared. Over 18 years, he honed his skills, buying, building, and selling nine businesses in 16 years. His experiences led to a deep understanding of market dynamics and the importance of knowledge in successful business exits.

Creation of EXITGuy

After selling his last business and taking a sabbatical at an MBA school, Rohan developed the EXITGuy, a platform designed to assist business owners in maximising their business value. This venture is not just about selling businesses but about enabling owners to exit on their terms, with a focus on knowledge transfer and measurable improvements.
